Please join the Capital Triumph Register on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at our club’s twenty first annual car show and second season at George Mason’s Gunston Hall. Enjoy the 2018 driving season with a picnic, a day of British automobiles and a complimentary tour of the historic house and grounds.
LARGE VARIETY OF BRITISH CARS
Past shows have featured nearly 200 British cars registered in 25 Classes and hundreds of spectators. The British Car hobby and motor industry are extremely well represented. Dozens of Triumphs and MGs are joined by Austin Healeys, Jaguars, Rolls and Bentleys, Minis, Lotuses, Land Rovers, and cars you’ve probably never seen before, such as Jensen, Riley, and Wolseley. The show is a participant’s choice voting for class awards plus special awards such as Best of Show chosen by the BOG committee. The price of show car registration includes a dash plaque, a commemorative poster (for rearly registrants only), and a tour of George Mason’s Gunston Hall. Spectator admission will be at standard Gunston Hall prices, which includes a tour of the house and grounds as well as the car show. British car regalia and food vendors are available for your enjoyment all day long. Plus you will have an immersion in American Colonial history with the period reenactors giving demonstrations in outdoor cooking.

HAGERTY YOUTH JUDGING PROGRAM
A new attraction at BOG this year, the Hagerty Youth Judging Program, is designed to give youth ages 6-14 years old the opportunity to interact with classic car owners and their special automobiles, while learning about the vehicles and the basics of judging. We often wonder where the next generation of car lovers is coming from and we hope this program will inspire and help to spark the passion for the car hobby in the young participants. The program is free and lasts about 90 minutes, and the kids will receive hats and t-shirts and be featured in a special photo shoot with the cars and the owners they have awarded prizes.
Do you know a child that likes cars and wants a chance to learn more about some really cool classic British cars? We are looking for fifteen excited 6-14 year olds to take part as official judges. Signups are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information and to register a Youth Judge, contact your Hagerty Youth Coordinator Sandy Thompson at email@example.com.

BOG ENABLES CTR TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The success of recent Britain on the Green events has permitted us to make generous contributions to worthy local charitable organizations. In this past year, CTR made contributions to Special Love, Inc., an organization that runs “Camp Fantastic” during the summer and various year-round programs for children with cancer and their families. Also in a continuing tribute to our friend Charlie Brown, a portion of our proceeds will be donated to Us TOO International Prostate Cancer Education & Support Network. We included a new contribution to ALS which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease and to Doctors without Borders in honor of member Earl Hill. Here is an article from our newsletter detailing our 2016 giving.
The Capital Triumph Register welcomes show sponsors and on-site vendors. If you are interested in sponsoring the show, would like to be a vendor, or have questions about BOG, please contact CTR’s BOG Coordinator, John Buescher.
